The two vehicles collided around 8 a.m. in the suburban metrobus stop of Küçükçekmece Cennet Neighborhood, local agencies reported. 

The collision reportedly occurred when one of the buses rear-ended another as it had stopped to allow passengers to get off. 

Both drivers were injured in the accident, and numerous ambulances and police reported to the scene shortly after.

The collision also resulted in delays as one of the metrobus lanes had to be temporarily closed, leading to massive pile-ups.
