36 people killed in traffic accidents during Eid al-Adha in Turkey
Some 36 people died and 6,550 people were injured in traffic accidents during the first five days of the Eid al-Adha holiday, Turkey’s interior minister announced.

Turkey’s Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya on June 20 announced that some 36 people died in traffic accidents during the first five days of the Eid al-Adha holiday.

In a social media post, Yerlikaya said 6,550 people were injured in traffic accidents that occurred in the first five days of the holiday, between Saturday and Wednesday.
“Please, let's not speed. Let us not neglect to wear seat belts in cars and buses. Let's obey the traffic rules,” he added.
He also said 696 traffic accidents occurred on June 19, the fifth day of the holiday, in which 10 people died and 1205 people were injured.
