10 new political parties founded in Turkey in five months

Ten new political parties were founded in Turkey in the past five months, increasing the total number to 91. Democracy and Progress Party (DEVA), which was founded by former deputy prime minister Ali Babacan, is among the said parties. Former prime minister Ahmet Davutoğlu founded his Future Party earlier than the said time period, in late 2019.

Ten new political parties were founded in Turkey in the past five months, increasing the total number to 91.

According to the active political parties list of the Court of Cassation Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, 10 parties were founded in the first five months of 2020.

Democracy and Progress Party (DEVA), which was founded by former deputy prime minister Ali Babacan, is among the said parties.

Another is the Hope Party, which was founded to be the voice of the victims of delayed pension age.

Anatolian Unity Party, Party of the Bright Future, Central Mother Party, Peace and Equality Party, Unity of Forces Party, Societal Freedom Party, Re-unity Party and the New Path Party are the others in the list.

Former prime minister Ahmet Davutoğlu founded his Future Party earlier than the said time period, in late 2019.

2020's first new party became Anatolian Unity Party under the leadership of businessman Bedri Yalçın.

DEVA, meanwhile, is 2020's sixth new party, which was founded on March 9.
