12-year-old's chilling cry for help on a stone reveals child rape in Turkey

A chilling note left by a 12-year-old on a stone on the street has revealed a child rape case in Turkey's Antalya. "I'm being raped, please help me," read the note, prompting police to look into the incident and apprehend the 55-year-old abuser.

A chilling note left on a stone on the street by a 12-year-old revealed a child rape case in the Mediterranean province of Antalya. 

Social media users have shared the picture of a stone with a note left on it in Antalya's Kepez district, asking others whether they have any information on the child who cried for help. 

"I'm 12 years old. I'm being raped, please help me," read the note on the stone, prompting police to find the girl identified as A.K., who told authorities that she has been subjected to sexual abuse by 55-year-old H.E. for a long time. 

H.E., who was the child's neighbor, was apprehended in the southern province of Adana, Demirören News Agency reported on June 15. 

The incident caused an uproar on social media, with users calling on others to be the voice of the girl. 

Earlier, Turkey's Women Associations Federation Chairwoman (TKDF) shared their emergency hotline to find the 12-year-old child.
