Opposition right-wing Good Party (İP) leader Meral Akşener would transfer 20 members of parliament from her party to the newly founded AKP breakaway parties if needed, she said.

When Akşener's party was in the race for parliament seats in June of 2018 but risked having to drop out for not having enough members, main opposition Republican People's Party (CHP) leader Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu had agreed to transfer 15 members to İP. Akşener said that if she receives a similar request from former Deputy Prime Minister Ali Babacan or former Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu, she would accept.

“We've been in a similar position, so of course I would say 'yes.' We had everything we needed, which the Supreme Election Board recognized after we had the 15 members join,” Akşener said.

Akşener also noted that a new political party formed by either the two former members of the Justice and Development Party (AKP), Babacan and Davutoğlu, would not join a coalition with AKP, which she said would gear them into a coalition with İP.
