Average age of active COVID-19 patients in Turkey is 42, says Health Minister

The average age of active COVID-19 patients in Turkey is 42, Health Minister Fahrettin Koca said on Sept. 10.
"The average age of active patients is 42. The average of patients in intensive care is 65," Minister Koca said in a tweet.
Some 58 COVID-19 patients died on Sept. 10 in Turkey, while 1,512 new diagnoses were registered, putting the total number of cases in the country at 286,455.
While 1,129 patients recovered on Sept. 10, the number of patients in intensive care rose to 1,209 from 1,1181 the day before.
Turkish authorities have been cracking down on enforcing COVID-19 precautions as the country's COVID-19 numbers have been surging in what Minister Koca called a "second peak of infections."
