British consumers' interest in vacations in Turkey has spiked recently, as the government launched a four-stage normalization plan, with all precautions being lifted before June 21, the BBC reported on Feb. 22.

The holiday industry reportedly had its busiest day in months on Feb. 22, as EasyJet reservations increased by 337 percent, and vacation packages increased by 630 percent. 

Some 2.5 million tourists traveled from Britain to Turkey in 2019, the last season before the pandemic hit, making the country the third-largest exporter of vacationers to Turkey after Russia and Germany.

Meanwhile, the Moroccan government banned travel to Turkey as part of their COVID-19 precautions, suspending flights between the countries for 15 days.
