Turkey’s main opposition Republican People’s Party (CHP) Deputy Sevda Erdan Kılıç’s parliamentary office door was broken and forced to open, which was located on the fourth floor of the Public Relations Building of the Grand National Assembly (TBMM).

Kılıç told ANKA News Agency on June 21 that her advisor saw the broken door in the morning hours.

Kılıç said “When citizens enter the Parliament, they are searched at many stops. We have nothing to fear. We don't have any secrets from anyone. But this is a very serious security vulnerability. It will cast a shadow over the prestige of the Parliament.”

“This needs to be investigated as soon as possible and those responsible should be found. This corridor is a very quiet corridor. We've been in the same office for five years. But recently, with the newly arrived MPs, it has become a bit crowded. Unfortunately, there is no camera recording in the Parliament that sees the doors of the offices of the deputies. We requested from the General Secretariat to overhaul the room and in particular to search for a listening device,” she added.
