COVID-19 vaccines may lead to birth of part monkey, part human babies: Islamist politician

Islamist Welfare Party leader Fatih Erbakan said that he's averse to receiving the COVID-19 vaccine because it "enters the cells," adding that recipients could birth babies that are half monkey, or have birth defects like three ears or five eyes. Meanwhile, Instagram has removed a post featuring Erbakan's remarks on the grounds that the content "includes harmful and wrong information" and violates the platform's community guidelines.

Turkey's Islamist Welfare Party leader Fatih Erbakan said that he hasn't been vaccinated and doesn't plan on it either because he has concerns about the safety of mRNA shots.

"mRNA means they're entering your cell nuclei. It might cause people to give birth to half-monkey babies. It could lead to births of creatures with three ears and five eyes," Erbakan said.

Speaking with journalists after a visit to the Central Anatolian province of Konya for his party's organization, Erbakan also said that he's a potential candidate's candidate for the presidency.

The New Welfare Party is now ready for elections, Erbakan also told journalists.

Meanwhile, Instagram has removed a post featuring Erbakan's remarks on the grounds that the content "includes harmful and wrong information" and violates the platform's community guidelines.
