Detention warrants issued for more than 750 suspects over Gülen links
Detention warrants were issued for more than 750 people over their suspected links to the movement of the U.S.-based Islamic preacher Fethullah Gülen. Detention warrants were issued for more than 750 people over their suspected links to the movement of the U.S.-based Islamic preacher Fethullah Gülen.
A total of 467 detention warrants were issued on Feb. 18 as part of the investigation into corruption in 2009 police examinations, while 299 suspects are sought as part of the probe into the Gülen movement in the Justice Ministry and the Turkish Armed Forces (TSK), totaling the number to 766.

Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office launched an investigation into the allegations of Gülenists, officially called the Fethullahist Terrorist Organization (FETÖ), having obtained the questions of the exam beforehand.
Simultaneous operations were launched in 67 provinces to apprehend the suspects.
As part of the investigations into the Gülen movement within the TSK and the Justice Ministry, warrants were issued for 44 suspects in the Land Forces Command.
Prosecutors ordered the detention of 157 people, including 101 serving officers, in 43 provinces in the probe targeting Gülenists within the TSK.
