Erdoğan heads official ball of 2022 World Cup

Turkey's President Erdoğan headed the official match ball of the 2022 World Cup gifted to him by FIFA President Gianni Infantino.

FIFA President Gianni Infantino presented the official match ball of the 2022 World Cup to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on Sept. 20 in New York.

Infantino gave the ball to Erdoğan during a reception at the Türkevi Center in Manhattan following the Turkish leader’s address at the UN General Assembly.

The name "Recep Tayyip Erdoğan" was written on the ball.

Erdoğan headed the ball shortly after the presentation and said he would visit Qatar for the matches.
