Two days before the second round of the presidential election, posters of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan were hung on the fence of the Etimesgut Armored Units School in the capital Ankara.

One of the posters read "Continue with the right man" including Erdoğan’s photo, the daily Sözcü reported on May 26.

In other posters, Erdoğan was seen wearing a pilot uniform, which he uses as a profile picture on his social media accounts.

Opposition Democrat Party’s Ankara provincial chair Erkin Delikanlı criticized the posters on the military school’s fence and said “The mosque was not enough, they brought politics into the barracks. Those photos won't win you an election, but they do damage our glorious army. We warn that anyone who hangs them should take them down.”

Ruling People’s Alliance’s candidate Erdoğan, who is running for the office for the third time, has extensively used state resources on his and AKP’s behalf during the election campaign.

In the May 14 presidential elections, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan officially received 49.52% of the votes, whereas main opposition Nation Alliance's candidate Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu received 44.88%. This is the first time Turkey will experience a run-off election on May 28.
