Fire at Istanbul factory brought under control

A fire that erupted at an electrical appliance factory in Istanbul's Şile district on Sept. 22 was brought under control after approximately two hours.

A fire that erupted in the warehouse of an electrical appliance factory in Istanbul was brought under control on Sept. 22. 

Located in the coastal Şile district in Istanbul, the factory set aflame from an unknown cause at around 1.36 p.m local time on Sept. 22, and multiple fire teams on the Anatolian side of the megacity were dispatched to the area.

A fire helicopter helped with the extinguishing efforts and the flames were subdued around 3.30 p.m.
