France moves Turkey from amber to red travel list
France has placed Turkey on its red travel list once again, deeming it a high-risk country for COVID-19, the BBC's Turkish service reported on Aug. 27. However, travelers who have received their two doses of a European Medicines Agency (EMA)-approved vaccine will be exempt from this measure.

France has moved Turkey from its amber to red list of countries at high risk for COVID-19 in its latest travel update, BBC Turkish reported on Aug. 27, citing a statement of the French embassy in Ankara.
From Aug. 28, travelers arriving in France from Turkey will be subject to stricter regulations, including self-isolation.
However, travelers who have received their two doses of a European Medicines Agency (EMA)-approved vaccine will be exempt from this measure. The Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine, which Turkey has been applying, is among the EMA-approved vaccines.
For the non-vaccinated travelers, they will have to quarantine for 10 days and have a compelling reason to enter France.
France assigns countries green (low risk), amber (medium risk) or red (high risk) status based on COVID-19 risk.
The Turkish Health Ministry on Aug. 26 reported 19,616 new coronavirus cases and 257 fatalities from the virus.
