Future Party leader and former Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu has joined the social media network TikTok in an attempt to connect with his younger supporters.

"I asked 'where is the youth' and they said 'at TikTok.' So here we are, we are wherever the youth is," Davutoğlu said in his first post.

In the video, Davutoğlu can be seen strolling in a wooded area. He captioned it "Hello I'm also on TikTok now."

Davutoğlu isn't following anyone yet, but has 9,100 followers.

TikTok is a social media application that allows one to film short videos with added visual and audio effects. Though it is used by millions, the Chinese-made app has led to concerns about security and censoring.
