The surveying company MetroPoll Research has released the results of its survey named “Turkey’s Pulse September 2022.” The survey asked participants the question of “Do you think your lifestyle is under threat?” Some 50 percent of the participants answered this question by saying “Yes,” whereas 47.6 percent answered “No.” Some 2.4 percent said, “I don’t have an idea.”

The company also gave a breakdown analysis of the political parties that the respondents voted for. Accordingly, 15.8 percent of the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) think their “lifestyle is under threat,” while this figure is 84.6 percent for the main opposition Republican People’s Party (CHP) voters, 77.3 percent for İYİ (Good) Party voters, 77.5 percent for Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) voters, 14.3 percent for Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) voters, 46.7 percent for Islamist Felicity Party voters, and 46.2 percent for DEVA Party voters.

MetroPoll founder and CEO Özer Sencar released the survey results on Twitter and wrote: “I think that that the fraction of society who have been having growing concerns about their lifestyle are not religious and headscarved people that have settled deep into the public sector, but secular and modern conservative individuals. And this concern has been gradually increasing.”
