Two people died and eight people were injured due to the collapse of an earthquake-damaged one-story house in Bozova district of southeastern Şanlıurfa province.

The house was damaged in the Feb. 6 earthquakes a year ago, according to Anadolu Agency.

Other injured people have been in good health.

56-years-old Cemile Arıkan was living alone in the damaged house and her children and grandchildren had come to visit her at night.

The two deadly Feb. 6 earthquakes killed more than 50,000 people in Turkey's southeastern region and destroyed thousands of buildings, according to the official figures. Tens of thousands of people have been living in temporary housing units even a year after the earthquakes.

The government has not fulfilled its promise to transfer survivors to permanent housing units rapidly.

Some survivors who have to endure the harsh winter conditions in temporary housing units choose to live in dangerous structures. Others suffer from extreme colds and frequent flooding.
