Interior Minister Süleyman Soylu has ordered a commander to rip Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) militants said to be involved in an attack in the southeastern province of Diyarbakır apart.
Diyarbakır Governor's Office on April 8 said that five civilians going to collect wood were killed in a PKK attack in the province's Kulp district, which was followed by the army launching an operation to apprehend those involved in the attack.
"I called the regional commander and ordered, 'Rip them apart when you find them,'" a pro-government columnist cited Soylu as saying on April 9.
Saying that "the PKK's attack on civilians trying to make a living must be remembered," Soylu noted that the pictures of the "neutralized" militants will be shared.
"We usually don't share pictures of neutralized terrorists, but we will share this time as a deterrent," he also said.
