Iranian foreign minister to visit Turkey on Sept 22
Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif will hold a meeting with his Turkish counterpart Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu and Qatari counterpart Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani in Istanbul on Sept. 22, Iranian state-run Mehr news agency said.

Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif is scheduled to arrive in Istanbul to participate in a meeting with his counterparts from Qatar and Turkey on Sept. 22, Iranian state-run Mehr news agency said.
Zarif will also inaugurate the new consulate building of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Istanbul, the agency said.
Turkey and Iran are historical rivals, but relations have progressed over the recent years as the two countries cooperated to end the conflict in Syria and improved their bilateral trade.
Earlier in September, Turkey and Iran held the 6th High-Level Cooperation Council meeting in a virtual environment.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his Iranian counterpart Hassan Rouhani co-chaired the Sept. 7-dated videoconference meeting.
Following the meeting, Erdoğan's office released a statement. "The dialogue between Turkey and Iran has a decisive role in the solution of many regional problems. I believe that our cooperation will return to its previous levels as the epidemic conditions alleviate," Erdoğan was quoted as saying during the meeting.
