Killed PKK militant's body sent to family by cargo
The remains of a PKK militant have been delivered to the family three years after his death. The family received their son's body in a PTT cargo package.

Turkish prosecutors have sent the remains of a Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) militant to his family by cargo, Mezopotamya news agency reported on April 10.
Agit İpek was killed during an armed conflict with Turkish soldiers on May 23, 2017 in the eastern province of Tunceli. Officials initially told the family that there was no corpse, but in May 2019, they called the family and told them that “the body was found.”
İpek's family, residing in the southeastern province of Diyarbakır, went to Tunceli and gave blood sample for DNA test. Following the blood analysis, it was confirmed that the corpse belonged to Agit İpek.
The forensic medicine institution delivered the body to the Tunceli Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, which then sent it on March 2 to the Diyarbakır Chief Prosecutor's Office by the cargo service of the Turkish Post and Telegraph Organization (PTT).
On April 10, İpek's family was summoned to the Diyarbakır courthouse where they received their son's body in a cargo package.
