Kurdish citizens at the target of racist attacks in Bodrum and Bursa
Three construction workers were attacked for speaking Kurdish in the western resort town of Bodrum on April 2, and the attackers were released. On the same day, a group of Bursaspor fans attacked a car with a Diyarbakır license plate before the Bursaspor-İnegölspor match played in the Bursa province.

Three construction workers in the Aegean Muğla province's Bodrum district were physically and verbally attacked on April 2 on the grounds of their Kurdish identity and use of the Kurdish language.
The Diyarbakır Bar Association announced that the assailants were taken into custody and released afterward.
On the same day, a group of Bursaspor fans attacked a car with a Diyarbakır license plate before the Bursaspor-İnegölspor match played in the Bursa province. Diyarbakır is a southeastern province of Turkey that is highly populated by a Kurdish population.
The driver was battered by the hooligans and the vehicle became unusable after the attacks.
The Human Rights Association's (İHD) Diyarbakır branch made a statement on the racist attacks on April 4 and said, "Kurds, who are the target of widespread racist and discriminatory discourse and practices in Turkey, have been living in an atmosphere that is unbreathable."
On March 6, Bursaspor fans had staged a racist attack against the footballers of Diyarbakır’s team Amedspor.
