A group of lawyers in March 21 protested the arrest of five hooligans who attacked Fenerbahçe players after the Trabzonspor-Fenerbahçe match played last week by leaving a black wreath in front of Trabzon Courthouse.

About 60 lawyers, including Trabzon Bar Association head Duygu Aydın Keleş, left a black wreath at the entrance of the courtroom reading, "We are only waiting for justice,” according to the Anadolu Agency.

The lawyers did not make a public statement and protested the arrest of the Trabzonspor fans who attacked players with applause for a while.

After Fenerbahçe won the league match with 3-2, Trabzonspor hooligans started storming the pitch and attacked Fenerbahçe players during their celebration.

Turkish authorities arrested a total of five suspects, including the masked man who first jumped onto the pitch and the man who ran towards the players with the corner post. Eight of the suspects were released under judicial control measures.
