Luxury hotel opens on site where executed former Turkish PM was jailed

A luxury hotel built on the island where former Prime Minister Adnan Menderes served his prison sentence under the junta opened its doors to visitors. The Yassıada Island is located off the coast of Istanbul and was a rather virgin piece of land until the construction of the massive hotel.

Duvar English - Katre Island Hotel, located on the site where former Prime Minister Adnan Menderes served his prison sentence under the junta administration, opened its doors to visitors, the daily Cumhuriyet reported on Aug. 18.
