Magnitude 5.1 earthquake strikes off Aegean coast near Muğla
A magnitude 5.1 earthquake occurred off the coastal district of Datça in western Turkey at 11.28 p.m. local time, the Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) said. There were no immediate reports of casualties or damage to buildings.

A magnitude 5.1 earthquake struck the Aegean Sea late on April 13, according to Turkey's disaster agency.
The quake occurred off the Datça district of the western Muğla province at 11.28 p.m. local time, the Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) said. It was at a depth of 2.51 kilometers.
The Kandilli Observatory announced the magnitude of the earthquake as 5.3.
Muğla Gov. Orhan Tavlı said that teams were sent to the region for analysis. "According to initial information, there is no adverse situation," Tavlı said in remarks to state-run Anadolu Agency.
Turkish media said the earthquake was felt in Datça and neighboring districts. There were no immediate reports of casualties or damage to buildings.
Turkey is among the world's most seismically active zones. Last October, a powerful earthquake measuring magnitude 6.6 struck the Aegean province of İzmir, killing at least 116 people and injuring more than 1,000 others.
