Main opposition bloc Nation Alliance’s presidential candidate and Republican People's Party (CHP) leader Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu on April 13 published a brochure on what he will do in his first 100 days in power if he is elected. Kılıçdaroğlu has been conducting his election campaign with the slogan of "I promise you, spring will come again!"

In the brochure, Kılıçdaroğlu said: "On May 14th, the government will change in Turkey. Together we will build a prosperous, fair, and democratic Turkey where everyone gets their due, with radical innovations in every field from economy to democracy, justice to security policies."

Here are some of the promises of Kılıçdaroğlu:

Turkey will switch back to the biannual daylight saving time (DST) modification to create efficient shifts in workplaces.

The tax and insurance burden on workers will be reduced.

Interview practices in public personnel recruitment will be ended. The government will ensure that merit-based recruitment will be ensured at all levels, including in the written and oral exams.

Farmers will receive 50 percent of the cost of fertilizer and seeds as subsidies. The government will remove the tax burden on diesel fuel used in the agricultural sector and the farmers will use discounted electricity.

Small businesses will be prioritized by the government and a special department will be founded under the Trade Ministry to deal with the shopkeepers’ problems.

The state's foreclosures stemming from university loan debts will be ceased and interest on these debts will be cancelled. The government will implement an interest-free repayment process for these debts only after the start of employment.

Some 100,000 teachers will be appointed on the 100th anniversary of the Republic. Students will receive free milk, water, and lunch in schools.

A ministry under the name of "Ministry of Urban Planning and Disaster Management" will be established and a special law will be drafted for the region affected by the Feb. 6 earthquakes. Housing for earthquake victims will be free of charge. The government will restructure the Turkish Red Crescent (“Kızılay”).

Under the name of "New Beginnings Fund," a fund program will be launched for divorced women. The authorities will end the impunity for crimes against women.

The Presidency of the Republic of Turkey will move to the Çankaya Mansion (the previous building of the presidency) from the current palace. The government will sell 16 presidential planes to buy fire-fighting planes.

Four politicians are officially running in Turkey's 2023 presidential elections: Kılıçdaroğlu, ruling People’s Alliance candidate President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Homeland Party leader Muharrem İnce, and far-right ATA Alliance’s candidate Sinan Oğan.
