Men's sweaters, zucchini see largest price hikes in October, Turkish statistical authority reveals

Men's sweaters saw the biggest price hike among consumer goods in October, data from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) revealed. Surprisingly, zucchinis came in second place with a 30.77-percent increase.

Men's sweaters was the consumer good to experience the biggest price hike in the month of October with a 38.58 percent increase, data from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) revealed.

Women's sweaters came in second place with a 30.77-percent spike in prices, followed by zucchinis that experienced a 26.34-percent price increase.

Cucumbers followed with a 22.31-percent price increase, followed by women's coats with a 20.88-percent spike and women's boots with 19.38 percent.

A summer fruit, melons experienced a 19.68-percent price hike in October, while eggs followed closely at 16.74 percent and onions at 16.24 percent.

While green beans experienced a price hike of 16.05 percent, women's jackets prices only increased by 12.76 percent.

Meanwhile, lemons saw the largest drop in prices with 30,94 percent, followed by domestic tourism packages that cheapened by 24.43 percent.
