Morning call to prayer time adjusted for working hours

The Istanbul Office of Religious Affairs announced that, due to demand from citizens who can't make it to work on time in winter months, the morning call to prayer will be made at pre-dawn (fajr) time and morning prayers will be observed half an hour after the call.

The Istanbul Office of Religious Affairs announced that, due to demand from citizens who can't make it to work on time in winter months, the morning call to prayer will be made at pre-dawn (fajr) time and morning prayers will be observed half an hour after the call.

"Due to heavy demand from citizens, starting from 20 November Wednesday, the morning call to prayer will be made at pre-dawn (fajr) time and prayers will be observed half an hour afterwards," the statement said.

Istanbul pre-dawn times are from 06:21 to 06:27 AM depending on longitude.
