Oil refiner Tüpraş ranks as Turkey's largest company again in 2020

The Turkish Petroleum Refineries Corporation (Tüpraş) ranked as the largest company in Turkey once again in 2020, data from the Istanbul Trade Chamber (İSO) revealed. TÜPRAŞ grossed a total of 58.6 billion Turkish Liras ($8.4 billion) in production and sales in 2020.

The Turkish Petroleum Refineries Corporation (Tüpraş) once again ranked as the largest company in Turkey in 2020, according to data from the Istanbul Trade Chamber's (İSO) "Research on 500 Large Industrial Organizations in Turkey 2020" report.

Tüpraş grossed a total of 58.6 billion Turkish Liras ($8.4 billion) in production and sales in 2020. 

Despite retaining its status as the country's leading company, Tüpraş registered a 33.4 percent decrease in its annual revenue from 2019 to 2020. The company had announced a revenue of 87.9 billion liras in 2019. 

Ford Motor Company ranked second on the 2020 list with production-based sales worth 45.2 billion liras, followed by Oyak-Renault Automobile Factory with 31.2 billion liras.  

Fourth in the list was Toyota with 30.8 billion liras in revenue, followed by a fifth company that wished to remain anonymous.

Petroleum refinery Star Rafineri Corp. in the western province of İzmir ranked sixth with 24 billion liras in production revenue.

Turkish appliance manufacturer Arçelik ranked seventh on the list with 21.8 billion liras in revenue.
