The Turkish Petroleum Refineries Corporation (TÜPRAŞ) ranked as Turkey's largest industrial business with 87.9 billion liras in annual production revenue. The oil company was followed mostly by automotive producers.

Turkish competition authority launches probe into German automotive giants

The Turkish Petroleum Refineries Corporation (TÜPRAŞ) ranked as Turkey's largest industrial business in the Istanbul Chamber of Industry's "Research on 500 Large Industrial Organizations in Turkey 2019" report.

TÜPRAŞ ranked at the top with an annual production revenue of 87,949,000,000 Turkish Liras worth of sales minus taxes.

Automobile giant Ford Otomotiv Sanayi Corp. ranked second in the list with 37,071,000,000 liras in production revenue.

Japanese car producer Toyota Otomotiv Sanayi Türkiye Corp. ranked third with 25,851,000,000 liras in production revenue, followed closely by Oyak-Renault with 24,635,000,000 liras in production revenue.

Petroleum refinery Star Rafineri Corp. in the western province of Izmir ranked fifth with 20,831,000,000 liras in production revenue.

Founded in 1955, domestic household appliances manufacturer Arçelik Corp. ranked sixth with 18,618,000,000 liras.

TOFAŞ Turkish Automobile Factory Corp. ranked seventh with 17,214,000,000 liras in production revenues, followed by domestic steel producer İsdemir with 16,391,000,000 liras in production revenue.

While the ninth largest business wished to remain anonymous, the tenth largest was Ereğli Demir ve Çelik Fabrikaları T.A.Ş. based out of Istanbul.
