One injured in armed attack against AKP's election campaign in Istanbul
A woman was injured in an armed attack during Turkey's ruling AKP mayoral election campaign in Istanbul's Küçükçekmece district.

A woman wounded in an armed attack on Feb. 10 during mayoral election campaign in Istanbul, Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya said.
An investigation has been launched into the incident, which occurred in the city's southwestern Küçükçekmece district at 04.30 p.m. (local time), Yerlikaya said on social media platform X.
The attackers fired with long-barrelled guns and pistols but there were no further details of their identity or motive.
Health Minister Fahrettin Koca announced that the operation of the injured woman who was seriously wounded on her head was completed and she was taken to intensive care. The Woman's condition remains serious, according to the minister.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan condemned the attack on X, "No attack on our democracy, unity and solidarity will succeed," he said.
Istanbul Metropolitan Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, on the other hand, stated that the target of the attack was not against the AKP candidate.
He said, "We are relieved to learn that today's incident in Küçükçekmece is not related to the AKP candidate and that no one lost their lives." He describe the attack as an "another public order crime."
Turkey will hold mayoral elections on March 31. Istanbul became one of the provinces where the race heated between different parties.
Turkey has experienced to armed attack in the past month. Two masked gunmen affiliated with Islamic State (ISIS) on Jan. 28 killed one person in an armed attack organized against the Santa Maria Church in Istanbul’s Sarıyer district during Sunday mass.
Five individuals, including three police officers, on Feb. 6 sustained injuries and one died after a gun attack outside Istanbul's Çağlayan Courthouse by two attackers who were believed to be with the leftist DHKP-C militant group.
