Russia will ask Turkey to reduce import duties on its metal products

Moscow will ask Ankara to reduce import duties on Russian metal products, said Russian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov.

Russian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov has said that they will propose to Turkey to reduce the import duties of Russian metal products.

"The Russian government is preparing an intergovernmental agreement with Turkey. Accordingly, the Turkish side will be offered to reduce import duties on Russian metal products. This work is carried out within the scope of measures to facilitate Russia's access to new export markets," Manturov was quoted as saying by Sputnik Turkish on Aug. 1.

Manturov also added that Turkey, China and Mexico have increased their imports of metal products from Russia.
