The numbers of both active COVID-19 patients and those in intensive care are increasing in Turkey, Health Minister Fahrettin Koca said on Sept. 15, when some 67 people died from the coronavirus.
"Both our active patients and patients in critical care are increasing in numbers," Koca tweeted. "The number of recovered patients can surpass our losses only if we take precautions. We can only beat the virus TOGETHER."
The number of patients receiving critical care rose to 1,327 on Sept. 15, while some 1,742 new diagnoses were made and 1,202 patients recovered.
Turkey's been experiencing a surge in the number of COVID-19 deaths and diagnoses in what the Health Minister called "a second peak of infections."
