Turkey's Directorate General of Civil Aviation (SHGM) bumped up COVID-19 precautions for international travel in and out of the country on March 28, mandating two-week isolation periods and multiple tests for some countries.

Although direct flights from England, Brazil, South Africa and Denmark to Turkey have been suspended as a precaution, anyone traveling from these four countries into Turkey will be required to present a negative PCR test result from the past 72 hours.

Additionally, anyone traveling from these four countries will be mandated to self-isolate for two weeks in Turkey.

Germany maintains a tourist ban on Turkey, while anyone who can present an urgent travel requirement is allowed to enter upon presenting negative PCR, RT-LAMP and TMA test results from the 72 hours preceding their travel.

Travelers to the United States will be mandated to present proof of their recovery in the past 90 days if they've tested positive for COVID-19 in Turkey, while any traveler over two years old will need a negative test result from the past 72 hours.
