Turkey's Board of Judges and Prosecutors (HSK) dismissed 13 judges and prosecutors over their alleged links to the movement of U.S.-based Islamic preacher Fethullah Gülen on Oct. 5.
Hüseyin Mısırlı, Cüneyt Azap, Kemal Babaoğlu, Fatih Özalan, Şeref Murat Erkılıç, Mehmet Uçar, Rukiye Çakıcı, Tuğba Yeter Aydın, Erdem Burak Bakırcı, Emrah Ergün, Şerif Fidan, Ömer Aslan and Aykut Keser were sacked from their positions.
The Gülen movement, officially called the Fethullahist Terrorist Organization (FETÖ), is widely believed mastermind of the July 15, 2016 failed coup attempt that killed over 250 people and wounded scores of others.
Thousands of public employees have been sacked over their suspected links to the group following the botched takeover bid.
Also on Oct. 5, detention warrants were issued for 46 suspects in an operation targeting the Gülen movement within the Turkish Armed Forces (TSK).
