Turkish authorities arrest two more on investigation over Discord groups
Turkish authorities arrested two more people in the investigation against groups on the Discord, increasing the number to five. It was reported that one of the suspects was the moderator of a group known for animal torture videos.

A Turkish court has arrested two more suspects as part of the investigation into the violent posts on the instant messaging platform Discord, which was banned in the country recently.
Authorities has launched an investigation against the platform after social media flocked with screenshots of several groups that has been glorifying violence against women, children, and animals along with contents involving sexual abuse.
According to the state-run Anadolu Agency, one of the two moderators of the group broadcasting under the name “C31K” on Discord, who were detained within the scope of the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office investigation, was arrested while the other was released under judicial control measures.
The suspect was arrested on charges of “blackmail,” “mediating the publication of obscene publications,” “publicly disseminating misleading information,” and “unlawful seizure of personal data.”
Another suspect, who allegedly asked a woman to pour cologne on her body and burn it during a Discord broadcast, was also arrested by the court.
As of Oct. 11, the number of arrests as part of the investigation increased to five.
