A Turkish court on Sept. 25 banned access to the website of daily Yeni Yaşam. The reason of the access ban is not yet known.
The newspaper issued a statement, saying: “In these days in which oppression against free press and opposition has increased, our newspaper's website of yeniyasamgazetesi1.com has been also banned."
The newspaper said that the decision was taken by the Hatay 1st Criminal Court of Peace and the newspaper officials have not been yet notified about why the ban came into effect.
