All members of the main opposition Republican People’s Party (CHP)’s Central Executive Board (MYK) will resign during a meeting to be held at the party headquarters on June 1, according to backstage reports.

The 17-member MYK had already offered their resignations after the May 28 presidential election results. At the time, however, CHP leader Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu did not accept them as such a move would imply “accepting failure.” But, Kılıçdaorğlu will reportedly accept the resignations on June 1.

The June 3-dated meeting of the 60-member Party Council will be crucial in terms of discussing the road path of the CHP as well as new members of the MYK. After the MYK and Party Council meetings, Kılıçaroğlu will finalize his decision with regards to the party's top cadre.
