Turkish gendarmerie told a family whose house got shot through in a drive-by shooting that they would report to the scene in the morning, Mesopotamia Agency reported on April 1.

Mehmet Şah Bozkuş's house reportedly got shot through in a late night drive-by in the Lice district of the southeastern province of Diyarbakır, prompting the man to call the gendarmerie.

Gendarmerie officers told the family they would report to the scene in the morning, although they never did.

"The village lost power shortly before the shooting. There were six of us in the house, we called the gendarmerie as soon as we heard gunshots," said Bozkuş's daughter Leyla Bozkuş.

The house was targeted by multiple bullets and nobody was injured in the shooting, Bozkuş said.
