Turkish university rector visits MHP provincial head to congratulate him for new post

Iğdır University Rector Mehmet Hakkı Alma has paid a visit to the far-right MHP’s Iğdır provincial head to congratulate him on his new appointment.

Iğdır University’s Rector Mehmet Hakkı Alma has paid a visit to the newly appointed Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) Iğır provincial head Hüseyin Ateş to extend his "best wishes."

A photo and written statement with regards to this visit has been shared on the university’s official website, online news outlet Diken reported on Aug. 16.

Alma was accompanied by his advisor Alaadin Yanardağ, an academic responsible for Iğdır University’s Public Relations Department, during his visit. Grey Wolves (Ülkü Ocakları) Education and Culture Foundation’s Iğdır provincial head Alparslan Çelikten was also present at the meeting.
