Ukraine plans to purchase more Turkish drones amid Russian invasion
Vadym Prystaiko, Ukrainian Ambassador to the UK, has announced that Ukraine is in contact with Turkey to purchase more combat drones amid the Russian invasion. The ambassador also said that Ukrainian military personnel are being trained in Turkey about the use of drones.

The Ukrainian Ambassador to the United Kingdom Vadym Prystaiko has announced that Ukraine is in contact with Turkey to purchase more combat drones amid Russia's attack, according to reporting by BBC Turkish.
Answering the questions of the British media, Prystaiko said: “We don't have our own attack drone, we are trying to produce a type we call the Kamikaze drone. By the way, we use reconnaissance drones from different countries.”
“We are in contact with Turkey. Turkey provides us with these drones, but we are still far from using them effectively. We have not reached a sufficient scale. We have enough drone operators and they are currently training in Turkey,” Prystaiko stated.
Ukraine's ambassador to Ankara, Vasyl Bodnar, said on Feb. 27 that Turkey-made Bayraktar drones were very efficient in the country's battle against invading Russian forces.
Turkey has sold Kyiv several batches of Bayraktar TB2 drones, which it had in the past deployed against Russian-backed separatists in eastern Ukraine.
In February, Turkey and Ukraine inked several agreements, including a deal that would expand the production capabilities of Turkish drone-maker Baykar in Ukraine.
