Youth makes Kılıçdaroğlu's signature gesture behind Bahçeli during voting

The photo of a youth making a heart shape as MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli was about to vote has gone viral on social media. The heart shape is known to be a signature gesture of the opposition Nation Alliance's presidential candidate Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu who has been making it at election rallies.

Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) leader Devlet Bahçeli has cast his vote in Ankara’s Anıttepe Middle School, as is always the case during elections. Bahçeli was photographed by many journalists here, and some citizens had their photos taken with the MHP leader.

“It is an important election in the Turkish political life. We see participation being high in this election,” Bahçeli said on May 14, adding that he will follow the results from his party’s headquarters.

As Bahçeli was signing the voter list to cast his vote, a youth just behind him was seen making a heart shape, which has become an emblem of the election campaign of the opposition Nation Alliance’s presidential candidate Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu.

The photograph captured by the daily Sözcü’s photographer Zekeriya Albayrak has become trending on Twitter.
