A group of expert witnesses has found the construction permit given to company Sinpaş GYO in the touristic Marmara district “not compatible with the legislation.”
Locals and environment advocates filed a lawsuit for the cancellation of the construction permits that the Marmaris Municipality gave to Sinpaş GYO in 2022 in Muğla province.
One of the company’s projects, the Kızılbük project, has drawn ire due to the closure of the bay and possible damage to the National Park.
A group of expert witnesses has prepared a report regarding the building permits issued in 2021 for the thermal hotel project to be built by Sinpaş in Kızılbük.
They found the permits “not compatible with the legislation” due to reasons such as the presence of more than one basement floor.
Last month, the Marmaris Municipality issued an administrative fine of 60 million liras to the company for not having a valid construction permit and for filling the sea with concrete fill.
