The northern province of Gümüşhane has the highest fatality rate in Turkey with 12.4 percent, while the southeastern border town of Kilis has the lowest with 0.33 percent.

Turkey's COVID-19 Science Committee noted on June 17 that citizens should continue to adhere to existing measures as the number of new diagnoses increase nationwide following the start of the "normalization" process on June 1.
The Health Ministry revealed that there are some 2,151 COVID-19 cases per every million people, ranking 51st in the world in terms of the intensity of patients.
Meanwhile, the fatality rate in Turkey is at 2.67 percent, 81st in the world, the Health Ministry said.
