Founder of Democracy and Progress Party (DEVA), Ali Babacan said that his father was in critical care for COVID-19 on Sept. 14 on a broadcast of Habertürk, where he said that his recovery was going as planned during his third week with the virus.
"My father-in-law has been getting treatment for three weeks. My father's hospitalized in critical care. We hadn't seen my father in a month, I don't know how he got it," Babacan said.
The former deputy prime minister said that he had been diagnosed with COVID-19 on Aug. 25, along with his wife and son, while the family's youngest member, Babacan's daughter remained isolated and healthy.
"I was in the hospital for eight days. They released me when I started to improve, and I've been at home for about a week," Babacan said.
Babacan's wife and son recovered from the virus at home, he added.
