The ministry released the statement late on March 21, saying that as of midnight, restaurants, pastry shops and similar workplaces will only serve for online orders and takeaway.
Turkey currently has 947 confirmed cases, and the death toll stands at 21.
The restaurants who didn't abide by the order were warned by police officers.
