Turkish Interior Ministry has ordered restaurants to remove tables and offer only takeaway and delivery services as part of the country's struggle to curb the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19).

Turkish Interior Ministry has ordered restaurants to remove tables and offer only takeaway and delivery services as part of the country's struggle to curb the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19).

The ministry released the statement late on March 21, saying that as of midnight, restaurants, pastry shops and similar workplaces will only serve for online orders and takeaway.

Turkey currently has 947 confirmed cases, and the death toll stands at 21.

The restaurants who didn't abide by the order were warned by police officers.
