According to a statement released on Fenerbahçe's official website, one footballer and a medical team worker tested positive for coronavirus.

Gümüşdağ and his wife Müge Gümüşdağ also tested positive for the virus and are currently receiving treatment at a hospital.
On March 23, Galatasaray coach Fatih Terim said that he was tested positive for coronavirus, prompting fury on social media against Turkish Football Federation (TFF) head Nihat Özdemir for not suspending the league when Turkey reported its first coronavirus case.
Özdemir was not alone in defending the continuation of the league, with Galatasaray chair Mustafa Cengiz and Trabzonspor chair Ahmet Ağaoğlu supporting the TFF’s decision.
