Turkey's Health Minister Fahrettin Koca said on July 26 that the number of new COVID-19 cases was around the same as the past few days' average with 927 new diagnoses.
While some 17 COVID-19 patients passed away on July 26, the total number of deaths from the illness reached 5,613.
"As the number of patients receiving intensive care, intubated or under risk is about the same, so the number of deaths are close," Koca said in a tweet.
Yeni vaka sayımız, son günlerdeki ortalamasında. İyileşen hasta sayımızla yeni vaka sayımız arasındaki fark düne yakın. Yoğun bakım, entübe ve riskli gruptaki hasta sayımız yaklaşık aynı düzeyde seyrettiği için vefat sayıları birbirine yakın gerçekleşiyor. https://t.co/RVlhe7786O pic.twitter.com/QNgqL6r82s
