Turkey's death toll from the coronavirus (COVID-19) rose by 20 on Aug. 18 to 6,016, health ministry data showed, with the total number of identified cases rising to 251,805.
The data showed that 1,263 new cases were identified in the last 24 hours, rising from 1,233 a day earlier.

Experts have been pointing to the sharp increase in the number of cases and saying that further measures need to be adopted to prevent a second wave.
