State-run Anadolu Agency released drone footage of the Turkish ski resort hotel after a fire disaster killed at least 76 people.
The fire erupted overnight on Jan. 21 at the restaurant section of the Grand Kartal Hotel in the Kartalkaya ski resort in Turkey's northwestern Bolu province.
Lack of safety measures and fire precautions, as well as the wood-fronted structure of the building, increased the extent of the damage as firefighters struggled to put the fire under control for hours.
Some people tried to escape from the fire by jumping off the windows or tying bedsheets together and hanging them from the windows.
The fire left at least 76 dead and 51 injured. Some 234 people were staying in the hotel during the fire, Bolu mayor informed.
Drone footage from Anadolu showed the extent of the damage inside of the hotel.
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on Jan. 21 announced a 1-day national mourning after the disaster.
