The dolphins of the Marmara Sea are migrating toward the Black Sea for the summer.
One of the oldest residents of Istanbul, the dolphins have been more visible during the COVID-19 isolation period when traffic in the Bosphorus was decreased.
In a 2019 study, only 38 dolphin sightings were reported in five days, in 600 square-kilometers of the Marmara Sea.
However, the mammals were clearly visible over the weekend as they made their way through a deserted Bosphorus.
